BrandyMill Community

BrandyMill is a single family development located near the Socastee High School on Highway 707 (Socastee Blvd) west of Hwy 17.  Most of the homes were built around 1990 to the mid 90's to include some of the nicest homes in this area. The homes vary from traditional to ranch-style with 3 and 4 bedrooms and large landscaped lots. The community is located about 5 miles from the ocean, south of Myrtle Beach, SC and is close to multiple restaurants, Broadway at the Beach, the Grand Strand Mall, and Market Common.

The Intracoastal Waterway runs through the Socastee area and is home to one (1) of only 10 swing bridges in the state that actively swings on an as needed basis. The Socastee Historic District, located on the Intracoastal Waterway was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. It includes three contributing buildings, one contributing site, and one contributing structure. They are a metal swing bridge, two houses, one store and a pecan grove. It's one of the few remaining intact local examples of post-Civil War-development.
